1. Who can participate in the award?

All employees with roles up to and including superintendents. It is important to remember that eligible employees can only be registered and compete for the award in a single initiative

1. What is the role of the evaluator?

Evaluators are reference Itubers within the organization, invited by the Award's management area. Their role is to evaluate the initiatives registered, being impartial in relation to the areas, people and products.

2. How does the award assessment stage work?

Technical Bench: validation of initiatives.

  • Shareholder screening : voting (via plataform) of the 5 (five) best initiatives, by category, by local shareholders of Itaú Unibanco – up to the level of superintendent.
  • Short list: voting (via Teams) of the 3 (three) best initiatives, by category, by directors – except holding shareholders.
  • Final: voting (via Teams) of winners, by category, by the Executive Committee, Pedro Moreira Salles, Roberto Setúbal and shareholders of the Itaú Unibanco holding.

3. Does the group of evaluators change in the evaluation phases?

Yes, the evaluation groups are composed with the following criteria:

  • Technical bench and EC Evaluation: Executive Committee and representatives of the Finance, Audit and Investor Relations areas.
  • Shareholders’ screening : local shareholders – up to the level of superintendent.
  • Short list: directors – except shareholders of the holding.
  • Final: Executive Committee, Pedro Moreira Salles, Roberto Setúbal and holding shareholders.
4. How is the evaluation done through the system?
  • 1- Before the start of the phase, each evaluator will receive instructions to access the website;
  • 2- When the evaluation phase begins, schedule yourself to access the site through the link https://www.premiowalther.com.br;
  • 3- Log in as per the instructions received;
  • 4- Click on each of the initiatives and carefully read their description;
  • 5- Answer the questions (Audit and Finances) or score according to the criteria (evaluators of the 1st phase).
5. What criteria and practical drivers are considered when evaluating each category?

For all categories:

  • Is the initiative aliged with the Itubers Culture?
  • Has the initiative managed and/or mitigated current and/or future risks for the organization?
  • Did the initiative make Itaú stand out in the market and against competitors in this category?

  • Clear demonstration of the needs met by the initiative (ideally, qualifying quantitatively and/or qualitatively)
  • Impact on metrics that attest to customer delight and/or validation (e.g., NPS, CSAT, average service time, churn reduction, abandonment rate reduction, consumer rating scores, etc.)
  • Proof that we are offering a better solution, which differentiates itself from competitors

We are driven by results

  • Results of the project enrolled should already be observable and relevant
  • Efficient use of resources and reuse of solutions
  • Focus on sustainable growth and business evolution, not just short-term results.

We generate positive impacts for society

  • Metrics that prove relevant social or environmental impact
  • Structuring solution, with potential for scaling or replicability of the solution
  • Demonstration of recognition of the impact generated by external stakeholders

  • An initiative that not only reinforces our commitment to "One Itaú", but also proves in a special way the value "We go as a group"
  • Demonstration of the contribution of the parties, reflected in the group
  • Results, solutions or improvements for customers and/or Itubers that were only possible thanks to collaboration between different businesses
6. Can the evaluator evaluate someone or any project in the same executive area?

Yes, the evaluator can evaluate a person and/or project from the same executive area.

But the evaluation must be impartial and bias-free, as we look for the projects and leaders that are highlights for Itaú Unibanco and that we want to recognize through meritocracy.

7. What if the appraiser is on vacation during the appraisal period?

They must notify the responsible area in advance, through email to “Prêmio Walther Moreira Salles”.

It is important that the notice is made in a timely manner, as only then will it be possible to ensure that the evaluation is carried out by another evaluator.

8. What if I miss the evaluation deadline?

The evaluation period is not extendable, so it is extremely important to ensure the commitment of the evaluators to this period.

If they are not available to carry out the evaluation, they must notify the responsible area in advance, through email to “Prêmio Walther Moreira Salles”.
